Sudán expulsa a diez ONG tras la orden de arresto internacional contra su presidente

Sudán anunció este miércoles la expulsión de diez organizaciones de asistencia humanitaria en represalia por la decisión de la Corte Penal Internacional (CPI) ordenar la detención de su presidente, Omar al Bachir por crímenes de guerra en Darfur que según la ONU habrían causado la muerte de más de 300.000 personas.
Las ONG afectadas son de nacionalidad británica, francesa, estadounidense y noruega, así como dos sudanesas. Entre ellas están Médicos sin Fronteras , Oxfam y Save the Children . Todas han alertado sobre la gravedad de su expulsión que pondría en riesgo cientos de miles de vidas en el país africano, al tiempo que reivindican su independencia política.
"Se se revoca la licencia de Oxfam, se verán afectados más de 600.000 sudaneses a los que proveemos diariamente de ayuda humanitaria", advirtió Penny Lawrence, directora internacional de esa ONG.
