El PSOE fracasa en su afán de frenar el varapalo contra el urbanismo español

Indemnización para las víctimas, interrupción de las ayudas que España recibe de la Unión Europea, revisión de las obras que sigan en marcha y parón de las que no estén en regla, y un PP y un PSOE más unidos que nunca bajo la bochornosa imagen que el nuevo informe sobre «urbanización masiva» en España ofrece de nuestro país en el exterior, que podría tener además serias consecuencias en las elecciones al Parlamento Europeo de junio.
Este fue el resultado del voto ayer en la Comisión de Peticiones del Parlamento Europeo del tercer informe que denuncia los abusos urbanísticos en España, el llamado «informe Auken», que fue aprobado con 24 votos a favor y 11 en contra, y pasará a ser votado en el pleno de la Eurocámara el próximo 26 de marzo en Estrasburgo.
Por primera vez en tres años de debate urbanístico, PP y PSOE parecían ayer estar de acuerdo en algo: el informe elaborado por la eurodiputada danesa de los Verdes Magrete Auken «es malo» (y llega en un momento de lo más inoportuno).
A pesar de que no es vinculante y apenas tiene carácter político, como los dos anteriores que ya se aprobaron en el pleno de la Eurocámara en 2005 y en 2007, este va más lejos que ninguno y se aventura a pedir la interrupción de las ayudas que España recibe de la UE a través de los fondos de cohesión hasta que se ponga fin a los proyectos urbanísticos masivos.
Además pide que se revisen todas las obras que sigan en marcha y se interrumpan aquellas en las que se detecte la vulneración de las normas europeas de medio ambiente, contratación o la Directiva Marco sobre el agua.
No cabe duda de que el informe de Auken es una denuncia sin pelos en la lengua de lo que califica una «destrucción masiva» de la costa española con «cemento y hormigón» y no deja bien parado al sector de la construcción y al negocio que ha hecho durante años, también viene a ser denunciado en el informe.
Precisamente el sector que más caro está pagando el precio de la crisis económica y uno de los que ha puesto las colas del paro en España al rojo vivo.
Con un panorama en casa de lo más desolador y un sector de la construcción patas arriba, ni PP ni PSOE querían oír hablar ayer de moratorias urbanísticas, ni de suspensión de ayudas de la Unión Europea, pero sus enmiendas al texto no convencieron si quiera a sus colegas de partido de otros países.
«Con nuestro voto en contra del texto hemos intentado enmendar cuestiones que nos parecían inaceptables», dijo la socialista Maruja Sornosa refiriéndose a la la moratoria, al cuestionamiento del Estado de derecho español y a la congelación de fondos -una propuesta inviable que no deja de ser un nítido mensaje político de la Eurocámara a las autoridades españolas-.

El popular José Manuel García-Margallo lamentó que el PSOE haya alentado un debate sobre el urbanismo en España que «ha acabado pidiendo algo tan grave como la suspensión de fondos» y que el Gobierno español «no haya acudido a la Eurocámara a defender los intereses de los españoles en un momento de crisis como el actual».
PP y PSOE preparan ya resoluciones de cara a la votación en el pleno del próximo mes con las que tratarán de introducir cambios de última hora que rebajen las denuncias de Auken.
